THE KEY TO SUCCESS

Never has the Sandusky and its surrounding area been a more thriving community than it is today. We believe it represents where the best of the present (and the future) meets the best of the past. Dan McGookey is proud to have seen and be part of, this growth over his forty-two years of real estate and business law practice in Sandusky. Let Dan’s legal experience and familiarity with the community work for you. Contact McGookey Law Offices today!

Rooted in the community

DANIEL MCGOOKEY

Dan was born in Sandusky 68 years ago. After graduating from Perkins High School in 1971, he attended Notre Dame University, and then University of Toledo College of Law, earning his law degree in 1979. It was then that Dan established his professional roots in the community by starting his practice here, a connection which has continuously existed ever since.

In the meantime, in 1974, Dan married his wife Bev, who followed his legal path, achieving her law degree a year after Dan. Since then, Bev has served the community in the role as Judge of Erie County Common Pleas Court, Probate Division for over twenty-four years. Dan and Bev have three children, Lauren, a prominent lawyer and entrepreneur in Charleston, S.C., Beth, who has carried on a family tradition in Sandusky by operating the Kiddie Corral Pre-School and Child Development Centers, a business Dan’s mother, Doris, started fifty years ago, and Michael, who along with his wife Alivia, co-own and operate the Bait House Brewery (a business the family started in 2018), right next door to McGookey Law Offices.

Community roots certainly run deep with McGookey Law Offices!
